The Portland Museum of Art's McLellen-Sweat House (1800-1801), a preeminent example of Federal-era architecture, has been closed to the public since 1980. Recently the Museum has made a commitment to conserve and re-open the house to the public for future use. This exhibition, which will be the first in a series will include photographs of the House's interior through the past two centuries, and feature information about the proposed preservation project.
