The primary mission of the AWA is to advance the causes of women artists by creating opportunities for them to produce, exhibit, and discuss their work. In so doing, the organization will help broaden the cultural base of the area and assist in the cause of art throughout the state. The Associated Women in the Arts presents their Member's Exhibiton 1999 at the Louisiana State Archives Gallery, 3851 Essen Lane in Baton Rouge. The exhition will hang until November 30 and is open to the public during regular archive hours.
