The TS UNG TUBE SERIES is inspired by the ancient Chinese jade ritual object, the CONG, a symbol of the unity of heaven and earth, or in today's parlance, humanity and nature. These sculptures are primarily stone, such as granite, marble, serpentine, dolomite, basalt and an amethyst tube, often there may be another material included in the work such as the stainless steel BULLETS piercing the TUBE, the symbol of unity and peace, in homage to the tragedy at Tiananmen Square.
