The circle of Friends of the Teyler Museum celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. To commemorate this, the museum puts on display over 70 drawings from contemporary artists. These works of art were bought with financial help from the Circle of Friends.

Buying art from living artists is in line with the 200-year-old tradition of the museum. Drawings, whether they are figurative or abstract, are almost still a part of the artist. Which gives the visitor the feeling to be looking over his or her shoulder.
