"Outart Festival Of Oklahoma"
2000-10-06 until 2000-10-28
IAO Gallery
Oklahoma City, OK, USA United States of America

IAO will host during the month of October the 2nd Annual Art Show for Outart. 17 artists submitted 57 pieces of art. We really had a hard time selecting which pieces were to be in the show, Patrick Riley, International artist / juror stated. We had to do 4 rounds of judging with some lasting till the last cut.

The 4 selected were artists that showed a level of presentation that was superb, Richard Ray Whitman said. Clayton Keyes, David Cockerell, Joe Dale Tate Nevaquaya and Mark Maxey were selected for this prestigious award. Over all each artist selected shows diversity and a fresh statement in their media of choice, Riley stated. Jayrd, Ted Holland, Brian Palmer, Clayton Keyes, Tim Poindexter, Mark Maxey, Kory Kight, Joe Dale Tate Nevaquaya, David Cockerell, Stephanie Ruggles, Anthea Maton, and David Craig are the 12 artists that will be showing during the Outart Juried Art Show October 6-28, 2000 at IAO Gallery. Outart chairperson Tony Francis states, This show, with the professional input from our jurors, will be a very prestigious show for the Oklahoma City community. I feel that the overall show will definitely be a show that will be talked about in our art community for a very long time. The Juried Art Show opens October 6 at IAO, 1 North Hudson, Oklahoma City. The opening reception is from 5pm to 8pm on the 6th of October, and the public is welcome to attend. The show will remain in the gallery until October 28.
