"Outside the Box: Photography by Raymond St. Arnaud"

Sierra Arts Center of Reno, Nevada presents a solo exhibition of 20 Original Digital Prints by Raymond St. Arnaud of Victoria, BC. St. Arnaud uses photographs to produce digital prints that are highly textured that are reminiscent of a combination of intaglio and aquatint. One of his techniques can be described as recursive or self-referential, in that the image provides the modifying parameters as well as the original content.

St. Arnaud has been involved with photography and visual arts since 1968. He studied photography at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and has a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Alberta. In 1999, he began showing in galleries in the United States and received an Award of Excellence in Photography from the Chicago Windy City Artists Exhibition. The exhibit is free to the public and is sponsored by the City of Reno Arts and Culture Commission, Friends of Washoe County Public Library, the Bretzlaff Foundation and the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency.
