"An Old Technique in Hungary and Abroad - Pinhole Photography: Edward Levinson and Winners From the 12th Esztergom Photo Biennal"
2001-02-23 until 0000-00-00
Hungarian Museum of Photography
Kecskemet, , HU Hungary

Edward Levinson's solo exhibition of about 35 of his pinhole photographs in conjuction with the showing of the winners of the Esztergom Photo Biennial CAMERA OBSCURA 2000. A gallery talk with Edward Levinson is planned for the last week of March as well as a workshop in Budapest at the Mai Mano House of Photography.

At the end of the 17th century a French writer – as a forerunner of Julius Verne – published his Utopian vision that if the latent image of camera obscura was shown on a paper covered with some gluey material the image might stick on it.

The idea does not sound bad though it has not yet been realized. There have been some other things to see, for example in this exhibition.
