This year's Grand Jury show is extensive, featuring 75 two-dimensional and 16 three-dimensional works which were chosen by guest jurors Dr. Sarah McKinnon, Professor Art of Art History and University Art Curator at the University of Manitoba, and textile artist Carole Sabiston, R.C.A., O.B.C. Many of the 74 Manitoba artists represented in the show will be in attendance at the opening, and they welcome the opportunity to talk with Gallery visitors.

The Grand Jury show and sale is a fundraising project of the Volunteer Committee to The Winnipeg Art Gallery which has been organized since 1991 by the Art Rental and Sales department. All Grand Jury works not purchased while the exhibition is on view will return to Art Rental and Sales to join the more than 800 artworks already available for rental or purchase. Art Rental and Sales is open from 11 :OOam to 5 :OOpm Tuesday, Wednesday , Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Their consultants would be pleased to help you choose just the right piece of art for your home or office. With summer weddings just around the corner, gift certificates are also available.
