Now in its fourth year the Australian Centre for Photography is once again proud to present the Photo Technica Award for New Australian Photo-Artist of the Year. The announcement and presentation of this award will be made before a specially invited audience at the opening of the exhibition at ACP on the evening of Thursday 15 November.

The Photo Technica exhibition and award is now firmly established as the pre-eminent platform for new photographic talent in Australia. The exhibition of finalists‚ work offers a unique indicator of current trends and sensibilities in Australian photo-based art.

Twelve finalists have been selected from 180 entries made by emerging photographic artists from across Australia. Kelly Gellatly, Curator at the Heide Museum of Modern Art and ACPs Program Manager, Robyn Johnston, selected the finalists.
