All over Japan, artists have joined hands with their disabled peers to breathe new life into the traditional arts of both Eastern and Western traditions. Five such collaborative groups have come together in this display of calligraphy, painting, drawing and photography - a fine illustration of social emancipation through the visual arts.

The touring exhibition will be accompanied by artwork and a programme of events created and performed by Bolton based artists with disabilities.
