A survey of work by an artist of the generation of Kenneth Martin and Bridget Riley whose
promising career was tragically cut short by his death in 1973. Moon was an abstract painter, renowned for his useof color and lazy-style abstraction.
He made large, bright, abstract canvasses of great simplicity and ingenuity using flat blocks of intense, pure color in regular, geometric shapes and patterns. His work, however, had ready wit and playfulness that gives it a startling contemporary quality.
