"Call for Artists: Announcing Strathmore's 2002 Art Contest "

Strathmores 2002 Art Contest includes three categories with prizes for each: Student Artist, General Artist, Digital Artist. You must be at least 18 years old to enter the contest in any of these categories and over $10,000 in cash prizes will be awarded.

The prizes are $1,500 for 1st place, $1,000 for 2nd place, and $500 for 3rd place. Honorable mentions will be chosen in each category and receive $50 each. The school of the first place winner in the student category will receive a $500 art scholarship award.

The contest is open to all media and the subject of the artwork submitted is up to the entrants discretion. Artwork must be created using Strathmore art paper and cannot have won another major art contest. All entries must be original, no stock photos or copyrighted images may be used or duplicated. Digital art must be created using the computer as a medium and printed on Strathmore Artist Ink Jet paper. All entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, style, expression, and use of technique.
