"James Tovey: East Hill"
2002-07-09 until 2002-08-10
Peterborough Art House
Peterborough, , UK United Kingdom

East Hill is a ridge that lies between Ottery St Mary and the coastal resort of Sidmouth, Devon. The paintings are based on sketches and photographs made there during 1996, subsequently sourcing additional drawings, photographic and digital material. The works draw the viewer into an epic visual narrative, a single contemporary storyline that encompass love and tragedy, yogic poses, cyber-punks and techno-luddism...
