"Australia's Richest Natural History Art Prize"

Only the best watercolours, oils and sculptures are on display for Australia’s richest Natural History Art Prize. See who won the prizes and vote on your favourite artwork for the People’s Choice, you can win some great prizes! All works of art are for sale.

Judges Russell Starkey and David Dridan had to sort through an overwhelming 440 entries (photos) which were of an extremely high standard and well represented across the three categories of the exhibition:
A. Oil, Acrylic or mix
B. Watercolour, pastel, gouache, ink, charcoal, pencil or mix
C. Sculpture

A total of 133 successful artists have been chosen to send their artworks to the Museum for the Exhibition. The finalists include 64 South Australian artists (nearly half the entries), three from the UK and one from Tokyo.

On 25th August The People's choice award will be announced and exhibition closes. Visitors to the Waterhouse Art Prize exhibition at the South Australian Museum and David Jones Gallery can win fabulous prizes, just by voting for their favourite piece of art. Prizes are thanks to Coober Pedy Tourism, Desert Cave Hotel, Stamford Hotel, David Jones and Yalumba Wine.

The exhibition is showing at the South Australian Museum and David Jones Gallery through 25th August.
