"Call for Artitsts: Proposals Being Excepted for Exhibitions"

Dazibao is an artist-run centre dedicated to the dissemination of contemporary photography. Through exhibitions and publications Dazibao supports artistic practices and theoretical reflections that offer novel approaches to photography or that propose fresh links with other disciplines. The centre serves as a launching pad for young artists, and as an ideal place for more established artists to initiate and disseminate new projects. Dazibao welcomes artists from Montreal, from elsewhere in Canada and from around the world.

Your submission should include :

* a maximum of 20 slides or 1 video tape or 1 DVD, well identified;
* a slide list or precise description of your support material;
* a precise description of your project;
* an artist statement;
* a curriculum vitae;
* a self addressed stamped envelope.

Deadline for submissions is October 1st, 2004. However if inspiration strikes outside our deadlines, don't hesitate to contact Dazibao, centre de photographies actuelles to discuss your project.

Results will be known within six months.
