"Huntenkunst 2005 Opens Today"

The young Dutch visual artist, Chris Peterson will attend the Huntenkunst manifestation in Doetinchem City, The Netherlands on May the 27th, 28th and 29th of 2005. He will show a selection of photographs from recent and earlier work. Huntenkunst is an art event meant for professionally working artists and gallery owners. The emphasis is especially on the artists. The event includes the presentations of about 150 artists from home and abroad. The event has taken place in Doetinchem since 1994, usually in the week-end before Ascension Day.

ITALIAN ARTISTS

Every year artists from a specific country are being invited. After Denmark, Czech Republic, Belgium, Switzerland, Hungary and France, Italy has been chosen for Huntenkunst 2005. The project is set up in close cooperation with the Italian ministerial adviser Giovanni Poncini (Amsterdam) and Charlotte Beukers (Rotterdam). One week before Huntenkunst, the exhibitions with works by the hands of the participating Italian artists starts at Galerie bij de Boeken in Ulft, Galerie Beukers in Rotterdam (specialized in Italian art) and Galerie Veldhunten in Veldhunten (the hamlet in which Huntenkunst in 1993 started). The exhibition is held from May 20th till June 26th entitled "The Italians are coming".
