Visual Arts Alliance 23rd Juried Open Exhibition, May 10 thru June 16, 2006, Houston, Texas.  Open to all artists 18+, in all media except audio, video or performance art. The Visual Arts Alliance was founded in 1981 in Houston, Texas. Theay are a non-profit organization for serious practitioners of the visual arts and interested members of the general public. The VAA holds monthly meetings where guest speakers are presented to give a broader  understanding of the many aspects of the art world. Not only are new techniques demonstrated, but an effort is made to help members with the business side of their craft.  Information is also made available on how and where to enter competitive exhibitions throughout the country.

Juror: Sally Sprout.
Awards: $2,500 in cash and prizes.

Fees: $30 for 1-3 works. $25 for members.
