To mark the 40th anniversary of the acclaimed 1966 film, Blow-Up, by the Italian film director Michelangelo Antonioni, The Photographers’ Gallery will present an exhibition of photographs from what is considered one of the most important films of this seminal decade, credited with encapsulating of the vibrant and bohemian scene in London. The photographs that appear in the film Blow-Up were taken by Don McCullin and a selection of twelve will form the central focus for this exhibition.

These will be shown alongside further photography taken by on-set photographers, all will depict or concentrate on the photographer’s act of photographing. The focal point will be the infamous park scene and the images grouped into sections that will correspond to key sequences in the film.
