The Candace Dwan Gallery specializes in fine art photography and is seeking a gallery manager with at least 3 years experience in a gallery or related field. Candidates must be well organized, detail oriented, able to work independently, and have excellent writing and communication skills. He or she should be friendly and work well with the public. The gallery manager is responsible for all aspects of running the gallery including sales, correspondence with artists and clients, shipping and receiving artwork, managing inventory of photographs, invoicing, paying bills, bookkeeping, supervising a part-time staff, and general maintenance of the gallery. Candidates should be skilled in Mac computers and have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Photoshop, Quark, Quickbooks, Filemaker and Artstacks.

The gallery manager is responsible for installing exhibitions and ordering frames and framing supplies. He or she will oversee in-house framing of exhibitions.

The gallery participates in the AIPAD photography show in New York, and the gallery manager is responsible for preparing for the exhibition and is required to work at the show.

Candace Dwan Gallery has two locations one on 57th Street West of 5th Avenue and the other is located one hour north of New York in the village of Katonah in Westchester County. The gallery is located directly across the street from the Metro North train station.
