Indepth Arts News: "Step Into Leonardo's Shoes Anatomy Drawing Workshop" 2007-01-25 until 2007-02-05 University of New South Wales, School of Medical Sciences Sydney, NS, AU Australia
You draw embalmed body parts (blood-free) that are displayed on tables in a spacious, well-lit anatomy laboratory. Personalised instruction is provided in an informal atmosphere. All levels are welcome, from beginners to professionals; you draw at your own pace. The figure in art history is discussed with reference to art from diverse cultures, from the work of Leonardo himself, to Rodin, Alice Neel, Jenny Saville, and Hokusai. Topics include: muscles, tendons, fascia, joints, bones, movement, expression, human development, perspective, proportion, and the golden section. Comprehensive course notes are provided, as well as refreshments during tea-breaks.
Cost AUD490.
