From 16th-27th May 2007 Koesis club in Naples presents a photographic exhibition by Vincenzo Montella entitled "PULCINELLA IN THE MYTH" Vincenzo Montella has been a Premiere Portfolio Member since 2001. Vincenzo Montella was born in Benevento, Italy in 1952 and now lives in Naples where works as a psychiatrist. He graduated in Medicine and Philosophy and specialized in psychiatry and family psychotherapy. He is artist, poet and photographer.

Pulcinella, the myth it tells, was generated in the Vesuvio region of Italy from an egg - the primigenio symbol for origin of life also represents the spirit of Naples and acts as the mirror of its contradictions. It is a synthesis of the associate-anthropological features of its people. Pulcinella can be seen as an archetype of every behavior: you serve them, pathetic, grotesque, ambiguous, sornione, infingardo, gaudente, of food and obscene, instinctive, ironico, ambivalent, diabolic sex. Mask that, from the Atellane to the Zanni to the Commedia of the Art, perpetual until the present, the eternal image of the servant scaltro in contrast to privileges of the master, in the eternal game of the parts between classes dominant subordinates and classes. Image - in the disguises - to speculate of the human being, its duality.
