Indepth Arts News: "Waiting: A Group Exhibition with Work by Bertram and Dr. Gerd Matysik" 2007-06-01 until 2007-06-15 Broadway Gallery New York, NY, USA United States of America
Broadway Gallery is happy to announce a group show exhibition entitled “Waiting” and co-curated by Raluca Corjan & Victoria Mayer.
From paintings to sculptures to installations, “Waiting” explores various ways to express the meaning of the word “waiting.” Life is a constant process of waiting. You wait to get your breakfast, wait for the train, wait for your coffee in the morning, wait for other people and you also can’t wait to see a loved one. All your life, you wait and will wait for something or someone. It is such a strong word and still, sometimes, the word waiting signifies a kind of “emptiness"... Included in the exhibition are works by Bertram and Dr. Gerd Matysik who have been Premiere Portfolio Artists at absolutearts.com since 2000.
The awareness of the group show, “Waiting,” is about the nature of humans and the constant desire for something new as well as the constant waiting required to get it.
The exhibition will be held between June 1st to 15th, 2007 at Broadway Gallery NYC.
