Icosahedron Art and Music Gallery Presents “Manifestations of the Imagination II” which runs March 4th through 29th, 2008 with an opening reception on March 14th from 8-10pm. A live classical concert performance by Vassilis Vavaresos will take place from 7-8 pm at the opening. The exhibition features work by: Michele Walters, Fateme Gosheh, Melanie Prapopoulos, Barbara Warren, Michael Zaitz, and Loretta Mae Hirsch. Melanie Prapopoulos has been a Premiere Portfolio member at absolutearts.com since 2006. Prapoloulos states, "I believe that an artist has something to say or point out - and due to my studies in art history and literature of Latin America and the Caribbean, my work is greatly influenced by what I have seen or read."

The artist continues, "I also find that these areas of my interest offer an unique artistic language, which results in a diverse vocabulary for expression. This coupled with ideas of dance result in what I feel is an often ignored reality, one grounded in strong lines and the unexplainable - not just for the peoples of these regions, but in an universal sense."
