Monique Musick's PHOTOSYNTHESIS Gallery in Ester, Alaska will have an explosion of color and adventure with photos by Don Murphy of the ice towers created by Doug Buchanan and his crew each winter near Fox, Alaska. These works show the actual climbing of sheer ice among the gigantic icicles and ice caves formed by continuous spraying of water several hundred feet high. The show will begin on First Friday on April 4, 2008, and will remain during the month of April. Don Murphy has been a Premiere Portfolio Member at absolutearts.com since 2005.

Don Murphy comments, "I have been producing art in photography, painting, sculpture, and recently on a computer-which I excitedly found can include all the first three. I find that the best of my creations are the ones which show emotion. Otherwise the work is just another picture. So, many of the pictures are constructions put together in layers from images in Photoshop. This way fantasies and whole different worlds can be made, or just the feelings of a person at the time."
