As long ago as the 19th and 20th century, grand artists of different fields frequented Traunkirchen in Salzkammergut to get their inspiration from the attractive interplay of mountain and water world. Franz Schubert, Richard Gerstl and Hugo Wolf were always welcomed and often summer visitors. After some decades, when this longtime tradition has been ebbing away, it can revive in new splendour. The Summer Academy Traunkirchen invites artists, everyone interested in fine arts and commited art admirers in painting, drawing and photography/media to follow the tradition and to explore the cosmopolitan spirit of the picturesque village again.

The maximum number of participants per course is twenty. The minimum number of participants is seven. in the case of too small number of participants the direction of academy reserves the right to cancel the class.

Participation Fee for 2 Weeks
The participation fee includes a reimbursable course fee of eur 440,- and a fix enrolment/processing fee of eur 150,-, which will not be refunded in the case of cancellation (see cancellation conditions). Reductions: students of public academies of arts, universities of arts and architecture are entitled to a reduced fee of eur 290,- plus enrolment/processing fee of eur 150,-.

The participation fee includes the costs of participation on a class under the direction of a qualified artist, the use of a provided studio and the furnishing at the class time. visiting of all events of the framework programme during the summer academy time is also included. participation fee does not include the costs of the materials, which are necessary in the class, and excursions.
