Thanassis Frissiras Galleryin Athens is pleased to present the latest paintings of David Benforado. The exhibition is entitled "Searching" and it will run from May 8th until June 14th, 2008. While still maintaining certain aspects from his previous abstract period, which was solely characterized from gestural painting, David Benforado shifts into representational painting and explores the issue of the human quest. For him, the task of the quest is not just the modern civilised man's effort to approach a nature which he himself has rendered unapproachable, inhospitable and/or uninhabitable; more importantly, it is man's attempt to restore that vital but no longer automatic relationship with his own self.

David Benforado was born in Athens in 1977. He has had personal exhibitions in Thessaloniki and Budapest, where he currently lives and works. He has participated in many group shows in Greece and abroad. His paintings can be found in important personal collections.
