Reba Rye and Janis Kirstein are having an exhibit of latest art works through August 16, 2008 at Zephyr Gallery in Louisville, Kentucky. Zephyr Gallery will soon celebrate their 20th anniversary and is the oldest cooperative gallery in the region with a member base comprised of 24 local artists. The gallery is owned and operated by the members allowing visitors direct personal access with artists. Kirstein states sbout her work, "My most recent body of artwork concerns the conflict faced by both Japanese and American society by the cultural pressures of the individual to conform or not conform to society's rules and structure". Janis Kirstein has been a Premiere Member of absolutearts.com since 2003.

The work includes acrylic paintings by Janis Kirstein ranging in size from 24" x 32" to 8' x 10.' The smaller pieces are on 100% rag BFK paper and the larger pieces are painted on tyvek, a durable and well known building material.

Reba Rye is exhibiting large digital photographs of landscape and also photographs of the figure printed on linen . She is also exhibiting 4' x 8' landscape drawings on board made with natural materials including charcoal and pastel.
