"Clara Menerella: Faces Again"
2009-01-17 until 2009-01-27
Il Ramo d'Oro
Naples, , IT Italy

Il Ramo d'Oro opens the new year with the solo exhibition of the well known artist Clara Menerella. A woman with eyes to the world, who lives immersed in the daily events, struggling, not only working, to build a better world, as Artistic Education teacher, wife, mother and fervent researcher in visual communication. Like an archeologist Menerella digs and brings to light classical figures that speak to contemporary: the appearance is the essence of contemporary, it brings to light the woman of all time: beautiful, sensual, a victim of her own femininity, of the duty to be pleasant. The opening was held on Saturday 1/17/2009 at 6 pm with introduction by Armando Profumi. It will be possible to visit the exhibition every day but on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm. On Friday 1/23/2009 Rino Vellecco will present "Paths of tought". Video-triptych between Neapolitan anthropology, politic and culture. Il Ramo d'Oro promotes their artists with a Gallery Portfolio at absolutearts.com.

Clara Menerella, born in Mondragone, Italy, where she has always been living and working. She attended the Aversa art high school, obtained a diploma in Sculpture at the fine arts academy in Naples, where she studied under the supervision of Augusto Perez, and then graduated at the fine arts academy in Frosinone. She participated in the sculpture stage and contemporary art international meeting organized by the town of Anacapri, which saw the participation of Arnaldo Pomodoro and Andrea Cascella. She is a member of the Florence "Gadarte - Centro d'arte e Cultura contemporanea" association. She is included in the "L'Accademia di Belle Arti a Napoli" catalog. Her works have been reviewed by Ugo Piscopo, Giorgio Agnisola, Maurizio Vitiello and C. Roberto Sciascia. She painted the triptych "Il Mito e Oltre" now in the council room of the Mondragone townhall. Another work of hers, Venere Mediterranea, is permanently displayed in Viale Margherita in Mondragone.
