The artwork of D. Lammie-Hanson will be on display at the First Existentialist Congregation Church in Atlanta for the month of March. The show is titled "The Figurative Thoughtful Women" of D. Lammie-Hanson. Her paintings are a spiritual and representational homage of women from the inspirational to the personal dreams and simple joys of womanhood. Her images in Black and White of Black Dancers were inspired by Alvin Ailey Dance Theater. There is one Black and White image of a Marilyn Monroe turned Black... relatively called "Waiting for her Prince". D. Lammie-Hanson has been a Premiere Portfolio Member at absolutearts.com since 2001.

And she is introducing the Chocolate Brown and Radiant Blues in "The Moments" Tryptics. Blues are the skintones of the women and the Browns represent their earthiness. This show will also introduce her "green" process in her artwork. She has recycled vinyl banners, wooden boards and old paper boards into paintings.

Ms. Lammie-Hanson, formerly of Brooklyn, NY has recently relocated to the Atlanta area. She is a professional emerging artist who has exhibited her work in New York, CT, NJ, and internationally in Berlin, Germany and in Geneva, Switzerland (UN). She is a co-founder of the Brooklyn Non-Profit Arts community organization SONYA, South of the Navy Yard Artists. She was also the chosen artist for the BAM DanceAfrica 30th Anniversary in 2007. In 2008, Lammie-Hanson has shown her work at the exclusive venues of "Art off the Main" and the amazing "National Black Fine Arts Show" in 2009 both in NYC. And also in April, 2009

Lammie-Hanson will be releasing her much anticipated artbook, "Painting the Individual Psyche" celebrating the past 20 years of her artwork.
