The exhibit runs from 16 April to 7 May 2009, with an artist's reception on the evening of Thursday, April 16, beginning at 7 p.m. Sei Divino is located at Borgo Ognissanti 42r in Florence, Italy. Kelly Borsheim has maintained a Free Portfolio at absolutearts.com since 2001.

From Kelly Borsheim's artist statement, "Faith can be a fragile strength. Or, at least, vulnerable.

"I have felt abandoned by friends and disrespected by others who did not know me well enough to know that I was never a threat to them. These were no ordinary rejections. This time the naïve, childlike part of myself that I have cherished and protected my entire life began to die. I lost my faith in the goodness of people.

"My work often includes concepts of yin and yang. But there was always a balance. Depression kills this balance and darkness envelops the soul. I was not sure this time that I could resurrect the light in me. I kept trying, but I could no longer see magic in people. Without this ability, I felt lost.

"After a long period of darkness, and with the assistance of true friends and some new friends, I began to notice again the small and generously kind gestures of others towards one another.

"Witness my therapy."
