STILL LIFESThru Saturday, October 31st
Focus On Kirill Doron
SCALE, Oil on Canvas, 20" x 20"
Born in Moscow, Russia, Kirill Doron immigrated to the US in 1982 and began his painting career. Kirill was
first known as a landscape artist before concentrating on still life
painting.
Mr. Doron has won numerous
awards, including Gold Medals from The Wadsworth Atheneum
Hartford Museum, the Pastel Society of America, the Knickerbocker
Artists Society in NYC, The Paint and Clay Club, and the Silvermine and
Ridgefield Guilds in CT.
Kirill
Doron's paintings are widely collected and have been reviewed in the NY
Times and exhibited in prestigious shows nationally. He currently
teaches at the Silvermine Guild in Connecticut.
Mr. Doron says:
"I am obsessed with light. Life for me is light, from the very
beginning. Sometimes a painting represents the end of day, but it's
usually a road to light."
CHALK, Oil on Canvas, 20" x 20" Four of Doron's paintings are featured in this exhibition. To see more of his paintings click on one of the images or please visit our website. About the Exhibit: What audiences will find
interesting about this exhibition is the inclusion of painters with diverse
points of view, all doing still lifes.
We have created a show around a tightly focused selection of 11 artists whose inventive styles activate their subjects.
Artists include: Olga Antonova, Kirill Doron, Daniel Greene, Robert Jackson, Steve Mills, Janet Rickus, Jaye Schlesinger, Steve Smulka, Sharon Sprung, Ellen Wineberg, and Darryl Zudeck.
The show will continue thru October 31, 2009. |
