The inaugural gallery reception for Karen Sperling's new L.A. Streets artwork series will be held Friday, December 18, 2009, 7 p.m. to midnight, during Air de Art-Show No. 5, a group show at Gallery Godo, 6749 San Fernando Rd. Suite C, Glendale, CA 91201.

The next day, Saturday, December 19, 2009, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Gallery Godo will host a solo book launch and signing for L.A. Streets, featuring artwork from the gallery show, and for Painting for Photographers, a guide for turning photos into paintings in Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop.

The L.A. Streets art series celebrates the City of Angels’ thoroughfares by presenting them through the prism of the artwork and books of Karen Sperling, who has exhibited her art in New York, during Art Basel Miami and in Los Angeles.

Saturday's book signing is the official debut of Painting for Photographers, the fourth Painter book by Painter Master Karen Sperling, who wrote the original Painter manuals.
