STUDIOS FOR RENT

BSG is opening a second Fitzroy space on the cnr of Johnston and Brunswick Sts above the 7-Eleven. This will primarily be used as artist studios starting at $50 a week. We are seeking to establish a community of artists working in a variety of mediums who are looking for a bright, centrally-located space to do their work. 24 hour access. BOOKSHOP/EXTENDED HOURS

To coincide with the opening of our new specialist art bookshop we are extending BSG hours to 10am-10pm 7 days a week from Jan 15, 2010. Exhibiting at BSG is now even more attractive. In addition to including 1000 printed invitations, a 10,000-strong mailing list, fully-staffed gallery and catering on opening night for the very low fee of $900 for two weeks, the gallery will now be open 3 times longer than most other spaces - right in the heart of Fitzroy.

You have a few days to submit your proposals for solo shows and for our select groups shows in the first half of next year. We only have a few spots left so be quick. URBAN ART 10A

Calling for Entries. This show of 10 artists will feature illustration including hybrid drawing/stencil/street art/painting. Email samples of your work to apply. We are keen to see the wild and the whacky.

JOINT SHOWS

We recognise that it is difficult for many artists to afford putting on their own show so we are inviting artists who are interested in showing with one, two or three others to email samples of your work to mark@bsgart.com.au and we will pair you up with other appropriate artists to have a joint show. In this way you can have a show of your work for as little as $225 including invites, advertising and opening night expenses.

DYNAMIC LIFE DRAWING

Tuesdays 6.30-8.30pm. Saturdays 10-12noon. Free up, discover your creative identity and find your power through drawing. Everyone's experience of the world is different, unique and valuable and translates into intimate narratives. Classes include model, music, drawing dialogues and reviews.
