The East Lake Art Club and the Palm Harbor Art Club in Florida are exhibiting a co-joined art show at the Oldsmar City Hall in Oldsmar, Florida. The show opened January 4, 2010 and remains on view until February 27, 2010 - Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. This is a multi-media art show featuring over 90 works for sale. Participating in the exhibition is Lora Vannoord who has been a Premiere Portfolio Artist at absolutearts.com since 2002.

Lora Vannoord comments, "My works are original oil paintings inspired by Mother Nature. I want to communicate my love of nature to help others see and appreciate the natural environment around them.

"My goal is to give others a calming and imaginative experience in their homes when they contemplate my paintings.

"I enjoy the creative composing of my landscapes using my store of images and my imagination. I combine my sketchbook images and photos to form my imaginary landscape. I then feel excited and fulfilled when my work goes well. Even as a child my happiest times were when I was creating art or attending art activities and museums.

"My current work has introduced the local birds to my canvas. These lovely birds have personalities that are both surprising and endearing when observed. I feel I must give them a home in my paintings!"
