Translations Gallery is proud to present the work of Canadian artist Lisabel Filiatrault, March 5th through March 30th, 2010. The gallery will exhibit Lisabel's landscapes, abstracts, and portraits, all completed with polymers on canvas.  The Exhibition Opening will be held March 12th, 6- 9pm with the artist in attendance. Lisabel's work is extremely well known in Canada and New York and is beginning to become recognized in Denver.

The new HBurger Restaurant on 16th Street Mall recently acquired Lisabel's painting titled Joy for their new restaurant. The 4' x 8' piece hangs behind the bar and is the first thing customers see when they walk in to the restaurant.

With her background of working with composite materials, Lisabel has acquired the knowledge and skills that allow her to create and master the explosive textures and colors which are so much a part of her work. Various complex methods of applying the paint including using a spatula to swirl and mix colors directly on the canvas and splattering the paint in slices across the canvas result in a dynamic composition.
