These projected videos portray the artist’s body emulating, inciting or re-imagining different beacons, signals, and forces of nature.  In these works a sense of awe for the Sublime can come as both homage and parody.

Whether it’s trudging through the ocean to become a human lighthouse, triggering Mt. Rainier to erupt or spouting water from a head, the body becomes a medium for experimentation often employing a tragic humor akin to that of commedia dell’arte grotesque or physical theater. Similar to the intrigue and frustration of watching a cat chase its tail, these performances point, or don’t point, to the absurd dualities that exist in our actions and reactions. [website]
