My painting seeks to seize and make visible that part of the imaginary which manifests itself in our experience of things. I say our experience because it is the collective, mythical imaginary that, using all the ways and means of painting, I’m interested in hunting out. Its presence makes us susceptible to the fears and wonders that have been passed down from age to age. And it is precisely because it is collective that we can share it, in spite of all the particularities of time, place or people. As a concrete object, a painting is for me a place common to everyone who wants to be part of it.

Ma peinture cherche a saisir et a rendre visible cette part de l’imaginaire qui se manifeste dans notre experience des choses.. Je dis notre experience, car c’est l’imaginaire collectif, mythique, qu’il m’intéresse de debusquer par tous les moyens de la peinture. Sa presence nous rend receptifs aux frayeurs et aux emerveillements que les hommes se transmettent d’age en age. Et c’est parce qu’il est collectif, justement, que nous pouvons le partager, malgre tous ... |
