Welcome to Ellen Fisch's Portfolio.
I have been privileged to evoke a rich background of experiences that inspire me and augment my creativity. At an early age, I was intrigued by the ability to conseptualize my ideas through drawing, painting and photography. I soon realized that creating an image was like telling a story: an expression of how I viewed life. I had many stories to tell and, by experimenting with various media, I understood that I could communicate my deepest thoughts and emotions with others through images. I decided early that photography was the best format for presenting my impressions of the world or my placeprints with others.
Art is a reflection of that which an artist can visualize. The further I delved into creating photographs, the more I wanted to become aware of the world's places and their history. As a child, I roamed New York City to explore the different areas within the vast context of the city. I am still passionate about discovering new sights and environs to use as reference material for my photography.
