Ofelia Uz's Premiere Artist Portfolio
Welcome to Ofelia Uz's Portfolio.
Being a self-taught artist my artworks are not constrained to a single category. My artwork includes: abstract, contemporary, sea/landscape, figure, still life and pencil drawings. In the past I have produced exquisite works including commissioned mosaic tiling, wood-burning designs, and murals. I often do volunteer work and paint murals for children's hospitals and other organizations.
I sold my first painting at 15 years old, to a good friend of the family who was captivated by one of my abstract paintings; at that moment was the start of the "word-of-mouth" exposure that helped me gain recognition and appreciation as a true artist. My paintings have been sold to private collectors and at major art festivals around the country. My work can be found all over the United States, Latin America, Canada and throughout Europe.
Being a caregiver to my husband, raising a family and everyday work for such a busy person like me and painting which is a huge part of my life have been difficult.
