Welcome to Sioban Odonoghue's Portfolio.
The intention of my work is to rescue objects that have been forgotten, neglected or thrown away and create a universe of new stories in which they are reborn, renewed and acquire a new meaning; the objects that we use in our daily life that move our hearts and help us transcend our daily routines, are seen in a new light, so we may appreciate their unaffected beauty. With apparent simplicity each object takes it’s place in the space that contains it, belnding together with new elements as to leave the realm of non-art context and become an art piece for both the artist and the viewer. My hope is that each piece gives the viewer the same pleasure it gives me when I create it, by a “thought provoking observation”.... |
