Artist Statement:
Eleven years Retired Marketing
Exec. Self taught,painter
for 28 years. Also has studied
with Hungarian Born Artist
and Teacher, Ilona Rittler, to
round out the edges, and
develop new
techniques. Ross terms his
style as "modernistic
impressionistic".
Oil on Canvas medium mostly
used, although has done a lot
in Acrylics.
Ross uses a myriad of
subjects. "I love things that
are old and worn,
whether it is an old building
or a beautiful old & craggy
face". Most of
Al's works are in private
collections. Has done an
illustration for a book cover
- "The Lost Accord" by Wm.
Pekala. Also, Al will be happy
to
do special projects within his
area of expertise....
