Artist Statement:
AMBER FOOT
ARTIST STATEMENT
A particular focus on
expressive colour and
uncontrollabe shapes and
shadows dominates each series
of Amber's work. Within the
art works expressive, yet
subtle forms lies stories of
landscape and nature. Her main
influences are Australian
artists Andy Goldsworthy and
Sydney Nolan, and old masters
such as Henri Matisse.
After exhibiting at a number
of venues in Australia in
2003, Amber flew to the UK to
develop her skills and
experience working in London
galleries. In addition, Amber
was the Artistic Programmer
for The Fire Festival held in
Bournemouth, UK.
Amber is now back in Australia
working in the arts industry
and practising her artwork.
