Artist Statement:
The landscape is a constant
source of inspiration for me.
I prefer to paint on location
because I am profoundly
influenced by the outdoor
experience. The sounds,
scents, weather, and
changeable light encountered
first-hand in nature all have
roles to play in the creation
of one of my paintings.
Even when working in the
studio, reference materials
that I have gathered in the
field are primary sources of
remembrance and feeling that
translate into my art.
