The artist was born in Curitiba. ( 1933 * 1998 )
'The art of Andrade Lima is derived from the solitary work of a stubborn personality who struggled to impose their views, mainly because they stick to the figurative in a season of so many fashions in conceptual and abstract art. The result of this tenacity is that , each day that passes, his work not only adds value, serves as an example to younger artists who, paradoxically, are the figurative painting and revitalizing. '
Andrade Lima had their first contacts with the painting around the age of eight. Studied at University of Fine Arts of Parana, has emerged as figurative expressionist artist, the current no more leave. He painted the most diverse topics, with emphasis on the religious and social. They are pictures of the people, simple people of the streets and squares, pictures of Christ, of San Francisco, bars and women of the night, everyone, always, in harmonious coexistence.
He was painter, teacher, designer, engraver, sculptor, illustrator, poet and, as an artist, who was captured over the soul of their city. Therefore, it was known as the 'chronicler of Curitiba.'
Author of 'Via Crucis' of the Third Order of St. Francis of Chagas in Curitiba, with fifteen tables, and the last, representing the Resurrection of Christ, is gone. In 1980 founded the 'Andrade Lima Gallery and School of Art,' through which passed hundreds of students. Throughout career, Andrade Lima has made more than 20 individual exhibitions, always showing unpublished works. With a brilliant career in art Parana, won dozens of awards. In 1993, was given the prize 'City of Curitiba 300 Years - Best Painter', and the following year he received his consecration maximum, being honored by the State Government as 'Citizen deserving of Parana,' in gratitude for his work as an artist and master, recognized today, but that the later praise as one of the most important artists that Brazil produced for Humanity.
