Why Did You Become An Artist When I was young, I loved to draw everything I saw. But then somewhere along the line in elementary school, I just stopped drawing. Throughout my middle school, high school and early college career I focused mainly on playing the saxophone in the jazz band. The saxophone was the only thing i had any passion for, but I still found my self slacking off when I knew I should practice. I still play the saxophone and I still love it, but it never felt like I put my whole heart into it. And then just a few months ago, I was sitting around my apartment looking at my walls and realized how bland they were. I picked up an old paint brush I had in my crayon box and some old paints, and just began painting. I painted all sorts of things. I was having so much fun, I decided maybe I should lay-off the walls and invest in some better supplies and paint on canvases instead. From then on I was completely enamored with painting and drawing and decided to pursue some sort of a career in the field. While I believe that I have a lot of raw talent, I know there is so much more I need to learn to be the best that I can be, and I am more than eager to learn. I don't think that I have been this happy and hopeful about anything before in my life.

Your Personal Biography I am a 19 year old girl, with four cats: Monty, Humphrey, Katy and Prudence, and a turtle: Edgar. I live on my own and am currently a waitress at Chili's. I am not what you would call a typical teenager. I don't party or go to bars. The history and culture of the hippie era absolutely intrigues me to no end. My parents gave me a wonderful childhood and my brother is one of my best friends. I play jazz saxophone and watch as many movies as I can. I think of movies, books and music as other peoples' perspective on the world, so even if you don't necessarily like it or agree with it, you still learned something from it. I am very open-minded and always welcome others opinions.
