Artist Statement:
My artistic research explores the human figure as forged in a space of light and
shadow.
The “sign” reveals my inner world. It takes shape on the smooth white paper, as it was born from the light.
A flash!
Peculiar in my work is capturing the vibrant emotion of a timeless moment.
This creative phase is the deep connection between my spirit and my mind.
The classical art, through the masterpieces of Caravaggio, Leonardo Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Michelangelo, Klimt... often helps me to define a great attention to the pure beauty, the grace and the passion of the human soul.
My technical process evolves first, through the pencil on paper, then the canvas or wooden board, and goes on with the painting to oil or mixed technique.
