Artist Statement:
'Hello, My name is Anne Kent
and I paint with wax. Known as
Encaustic Art , I use the
molten wax to create my
paintings. Different low heat
tools and brushes are used.
The colours are so vibrant and
the techniques so varied that
each piece is an ‘adventure’
to paint!
I trained at Art College in my
teens and was employed as a
lettering and layout artist
for some years.
I also spent many years
designing patterns for machine
knitters and teaching Machine
Knitting and Calligraphy in
Adult Education. I now teach
Encaustic Art . I like to
demonstrate this exciting art
form as well as selling my
paintings.
I have one son and a
daughter-in- law plus one cat.
It is great to have a new
career in my 60’s!
I have a lovely life and so
much to thank God for.'
I now have a beautiful
grandaughter....Matilda

May 7-21 2009 I am once again
exhibiting as part of the East
Grinstead Art Society at
Chequer Mead, East Grinstead.
I will be showing Encaustic
art and acrylic paintings.
In June 2009 (1st - 7th ) I am
exhibiting with my friend Ann
Neale at Denbies Wine Estate.
