My name is James Patterson. I was born, raised and in Philadelphia Pa.
I'm primarily a self taught artist, but I have had some instruction at a local community college.
I love impressionism! My favorite artist are Edward Degas, Gustave Cailebotte, John Singer Sergeant and Claude Monet.
My personal style is somewhat of a realist, but I try to keep it loose as much as possible.
Since my name is the same as a well known Author 'James Patterson', I sign my work as Areeez. Areeez is a spin on my astrological sign Aries. I came up with it, during a brief interest in Astrology a few years ago. It sounds dumb but at the time, I thought it was cool. |
