| Your Personal Biography |
Anne Laperriere is an artist residing in Winston-Salem, NC with her ten house plants and two snakes. She works primarily in paint and various sculpture media,including among others costume creation and performance. In 2005 she earned a BFA at the Cleveland Institute of Art with a major in sculpture and a minor in painting. In addition, she studied forensic facial reconstruction and branched into the field of museum exhibitry and taxidermy. She acted as asst.head of the taxidermy and exhibits dept. at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History and worked as an exhibits fabrication intern at the Smithsonian Institution. Her current 'day job' is Anesthesia assistant in an operating room, and she is in the midst of a series of paintings inspired by O.R. scenes.
