Artist Statement:
I am a Canadian
representational artist. I was
born and raised in Toronto,
Ontario. I have taken courses
at university and art schools.
I paint with acrylics on
canvas. I use thin layers or
thick textural strokes of
paint. My paintings are
influenced by my love of
colour. When I paint I try to
capture the excitement of
colour in light, shadow and
atmosphere. My paintings are
also influenced by my
knowledge of abstract design
principles. My paintings are
in private collections in
Canada and the U.S. I am also
listed in the ArtistsinCanada

I love drawing and painting. Painting, sketching, studying and reading about art brings me peace. While it was not my initial reason for doing fine art, I enjoy making fine art reproductions of my original paintings and selling paintings and my reproductions (prints,giclees on paper or canvas; fine art greeting cards, postcards. |

I am a Canadian representational artist. I use acrylics as I would oil paints. I can paint thin glossy layers or thick textural strokes. My paintings are in private collections in Canada and the U.S. I am also listed in the ArtistsinCanada Directory.
I have taken courses at university and art schools. I read many art magazines and books. I study the work of other artists. I am a lifelong art student.
